There are also many Steam titles to go through (there is like a million bajillion games on Steam) and games on consoles that are incredibly obscure like the Sharp X68000 and even old school Amiga and Commodore Computers! I think you should start out with some games you are familiar with so you can get comfortable with writing your entries. I tend to want to beat my games and my time limits are much longer. You can still play games on top of it, but spending a week with it, or before if you beat it before then. I think it's a pretty interesting idea to play a new game every week and then writing you thoughts on it. Don't skip the tutorials because you can't enjoy a game when you can't properly engage with it. This is usually when I'm getting into a genre, but it works for ones where I have a huge list of platformers or something, and I want to play a bunch of them.
